Simone Saavedra

Teacher of Business English  ·  General English  ·  Cambridge Exam Preparation

Simone is an English teacher from Canada with over a decade of experience, known for her personalized feedback, meticulous lesson preparation, and ability to connect with every student. Her teaching approach is partly influenced by her background in performing arts and sociology, enabling her to bring empathy and dynamism to each lesson.


Throughout her professional career, Simone has collaborated with prominent institutions such as the Bank of Spain and the State Industrial Participation Society (SEPI). Her exceptional teaching quality has consistently earned her outstanding reviews from students in every institution where she has worked. She is fluent in French, conversational in Spanish, and has recently started learning Catalan, reflecting her commitment to cultural exchange and lifelong learning.


Simone is also a creator of English educational content on LinkedIn, where her posts have attracted the attention of over 6,000 professionals. Additionally, she has self-published two books, 101 Common Mistakes and 101 Fluency Building Expressions, both practical resources designed to help students enhance their English fluency.

Dr. Izidora Skračić

Teacher of Conversations in English  ·  Business English  ·  General English

Izidora holds a PhD in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Maryland, College Park, and has over 300 hours of teaching experience. She has designed and taught university courses on various topics at institutions such as the University of Maryland and the Swiss School of Management in Barcelona.


Izidora has a deep passion for teaching. Her classes are dynamic and participatory, blending evidence-based methodologies with innovative tools like ChatGPT, podcasts, and TikTok to engage and motivate students. Having grown up in Croatia and the United States and now residing in Barcelona, Izidora is bilingual in English and Croatian and fluent in Spanish, Catalan and French, bringing a global perspective to her teaching.

Anna Richards

Teacher of Conversations in English  ·  Business English  ·  General English ·  Cambridge, IELTS and TOEFL Exam Preparation

Anna is an English teacher from the United Kingdom with a Level 5 TESOL certification from TEFL Spain and a strong background in English Literature and Creative Writing. She has worked with students of all ages across language academies, online platforms, and international summer schools. Currently, she specializes in Cambridge exam preparation and teaching Business English.


Anna’s classes are fully personalized, dynamic, motivating, and creative. She is dedicated to fostering a positive and supportive environment where students feel confident and encouraged to use English. Her lessons primarily focus on listening comprehension and oral expression in real-life communication scenarios.

Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Salam

Pharmaceutical Language Instructor

Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Salam is a licensed pharmacist who joined Pioneer Education as our Pharmaceutical Language Instructor. He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of São Paulo, jointly with the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in the United States, and homologated by the University of Barcelona. He has also completed a postgraduate degree in Clinical Phytotherapy from the University of Barcelona, further enhancing his credentials in both research and practical applications.

As an alumnus of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT)-Health, he completed an industrial postdoctoral fellowship, collaborating with Roche Diagnostics and international teams from Poland, Germany, and Spain to propose a groundbreaking research initiative for the early detection of lung cancer in Denmark.


With over a decade of teaching and mentoring experience, Dr. Abd El-Salam has worked in pharmacy faculties and international research institutions, earning recognition for his innovative contributions to science through numerous peer-reviewed publications and awards. His teaching and research merits have been officially accredited by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) in Madrid and the Agència per a la Qualitat del Sistema Universitari de Catalunya (AQU) in Barcelona.

Fluent in English and Arabic, with working proficiency in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, at Pioneer Education, Dr. Abd El-Salam specializes in technical English tailored for pharmaceutical professionals, focusing on the language skills necessary for research, presentations, and clinical applications.

Aina Llovet i Bigas

Founder & CEO

Aina holds a double degree in Pedagogy and Psychology. At just 23 years old, she bootstrapped Pioneer Education, achieving a 400% growth rate since its inception and expanding it to a team of four English teachers and three technical instructors. Additionally, under her leadership, Pioneer has earned a perfect 5-star Google rating and a 100% Cambridge exam pass rate (as of January 2025).


Aina’s entrepreneurial spirit has driven impactful initiatives from an early age. At 16 years old, she was recognized as a finalist in the University of Nebrija’s Young Entrepreneur Competition. Two years later, she founded a non-profit activist organization that led a nationwide campaign, leading a team of 30 people and earning coverage in national newspapers. At 22, she designed and taught UB2 at the University of Barcelona, a Cambridge English Exam Preparation course aimed at improving English proficiency among students in the Faculty of Education. There, she implemented game-based learning in collaboration with the Aula de Jocs of the UB. 

Her commitment to academic excellence has been evident throughout her life. At 17, she obtained the C2 Proficiency in English certificate from the University of Cambridge and graduated from a competitive Batxillerat program with a 9.15/10 grade average. In university, she was awarded the Scholarship for Academic Excellence from Ramon Llull University. As a big believer in lifelong learning, she recently completed the Leaders of Learning course at HarvardX.

Having lived in New York City as a child and returned there every summer, Aina's English level is near-native, which has facilitated her career in English teaching. She brings over eight years of experience teaching English to students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults, during which she has applied evidence-based strategies and innovative methodologies to create immersive and engaging learning experiences.
